POCATELLO – Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ’s Gender Resource Center will host “The Battle Continues,” a look back at the “Battle of the Sexes” and women’s rights from the 1970s to today, on April 2 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Wood and Little Wood River Rooms in the Pond Student Union.

POCATELLO – Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ is seeking nominations for its Breaking Boundary Awards for student athletes that will be awarded at the Bennion Banquet on April 24.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Bengal Bridge, which provides college credits to new high school graduates at a reduced cost, is accepting applications until April 15

POCATELLO – Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ’s Bengal Bridge will continue to accept applications for summer 2018 until April 15. Bengal Bridge is a seven-week summer college semester for recently graduated high school seniors. Students have the opportunity to earn 9-10 college credits towards their degree for $585 instead of the regular tuition price of $3,583.

POCATELLO – She’s performed in all 50 states over the last 20-plus years and Grammy Award-winning singer Kathy Mattea will be back in Idaho to perform The Acoustic Living Room concert with her longtime collaborator and guitarist Bill Cooley on March 17 at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ.

Idaho principals share their thoughts on teacher evaluation

An Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ study completed in 2017 revealed perceptions held by Idaho principals about the statewide teacher evaluation program implemented in 2015. Noteworthy findings included that principals believe the evaluation program helps them identify both good and poor teachers, helped inform the professional development needs of their teachers, and that they are adequately trained and knowledgeable about how to properly conduct teacher evaluation according to state guidelines.
