Idaho universities join forces to launch policy fellowship program

MOSCOW, Idaho — April 17, 2019 — Idaho’s three universities are teaming up to provide Idaho scientists and engineers the opportunity to learn firsthand about policymaking through a yearlong fellowship.

Three Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ faculty members – Schoen, Seiger and Lohse – honored as 2019 Distinguished Faculty

POCATELLO – Three Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ faculty will be honored as Distinguished Faculty at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Commencement on May 4 in the Holt Arena. The recipients are Distinguished Teacher Marco Schoen, Distinguished Service Cindy Seiger and Distinguished Researcher Kathleen Lohse.

IEEE East Idaho Section Presentation to be held April 24 at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Oboler Library

POCATELLO – The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) East Idaho Section will host a presentation by Erdinch “Ed” Tatar, an associate professor of physics at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, on April 24 at 4 p.m. in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Oboler Library.

Training series on opioid misuse scheduled this spring in southeast Idaho  

BOISE — The University of Idaho program aimed at helping physicians treat opioid addiction is partnering with two southeast Idaho organizations for a five-session training on opioid misuse beginning Thursday, April 25.
