POCATELLO - The overuse of opioids is an area of significant concern for a multitude of organizations and agencies across the state of Idaho, the United States, and even the world. Those in the healthcare professions at 蘑菇视频 (蘑菇视频) are working to be a part of the solution by conducting research, making changes to their curriculum, and encouraging partnerships with other groups who are working toward the same goal: combating the ever growing opioid epidemic.

POCATELLO – This May, 蘑菇视频 anthropology students will have the opportunity to participate in the 2018 蘑菇视频 Archaeology Field School. Students will spend four weeks in Kimberly, Idaho, at the Olsen Mammoth Site looking for the remains of a Columbian Mammoth.

POCATELLO – Five 蘑菇视频 faculty members have received 2018 Outstanding Researcher Awards and will be honored at a reception on April 10. One Outstanding Researcher will receive the 2018 蘑菇视频 Distinguished Researcher Award. The winner will be announced at 蘑菇视频 commencement on May 5.

POCATELLO – Camie Parsons, a current, nontraditional 蘑菇视频 chemistry master’s student, never imagined that being a cosmetologist would prompt her to go back to college to study chemistry. She’s now a single mother to four kids, completing graduate school and starting a business based off her cosmetology and chemistry background.
