About Us
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) combats social isolation and loneliness and supports mental wellness among older adults in Bannock, Bingham, Power, and Shoshone counties. The program pairs adult volunteers age 55+ with other adults age 55+ to foster connection through regular interactions. Volunteers are matched with two participants, spending 1.75 hours in-person and conducting two 30-minute phone calls each month, with each peer. This initiative promotes meaningful relationships and improved quality of life for older adults in rural Idaho communities.
RSVP volunteers use their skills and life experience to serve local older adults and neighbors through companionship, wellness calls, events, and more.
RSVP participants gain connection, purpose, and mutual support, giving and gaining through interactions with their volunteer.
