The ĢƵ Office of Marketing and Communications distributes this event calendar to let the public and media know about upcoming non-athletic events at the University. This information is intended for release in print and broadcast events calendars. Various events calendars with more complete information are available online at the website www.isu.edu/calendar.

• UPC’s 3rd Annual Tree Lighting Festival: 7 p.m. at the Pond Student Union Building. This event is free and open to the public to help spread holiday cheer. For more information contact the Union Program Council at 282-4451.
Friday, December 6
• ĢƵ Chamber Choir and Women’s Choir Holiday Concert: 7:30 p.m. inside the Presbyterian Church located at 202 South 7th Avenue. A $5 donation is suggested. For more information contact the music department at 282-3636.

• College of Technology Winter Graduation: 7 p.m. inside the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. For more information or to RSVP visit www.isu.edu/ctech.

• Symphonic Band Concert: 6:30 p.m. in the Marshall Rotunda at the Stephens Performing Art Center. This event is a precursor to the Idaho State Civic Symphony.
• Idaho State Civic Symphony: ‘Joy to the World, An ĢƵ Christmas’: 7:30 p.m. inside the Jensen Grand Concert Hall inside the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $32 for adults and $17 for students through high school. Concert tickets are free for ĢƵ students with a valid Bengal ID card. Visit the ĢƵ Box Office in the Stephens Performing Arts Center from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or call (208) 282-3595 to purchase tickets or for more information. • ‘Season of Note’ to present An Olde English Christmas with Herman’s Hermits Peter Noone: Universally regarded as one of Rock and Roll’s finest and most versatile entertainers, Peter Noone of is second to none. Noone’s performances are the stuff of legends that deftly deliver a broad palette of music through his voice which defined a generation. He has 20 top 40 hits including “I’m Henry VIII, I Am,” “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “I’m into Something Good” and “Wonderful World.” Tickets range from $32-$36 and can be purchased at the Stephens Box Office at 282-3595, Vickers Western Store, Campus Connection inside the Pond Student Union Building, and online at www.isu.edu/tickets. • ĢƵ to host New Year’s Eve Gala: ĢƵ is bringing back the Roaring Twenties this New Year’s Eve. Local people have the chance to wine, dine and enjoy first rate entertainment from the era of “The Great Gatsby,” at the 2013-14 New Year’s Eve Gala to benefit students at ĢƵ. The event is being put on by the College of Arts & Letters and is an opportunity for the community to show their support and appreciation for the talents of the students and faculty of ĢƵ. All proceeds will go to scholarships for the Visual and Performing Arts students. The Gala will be held at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will go through the New Year. Formal dress is required. Guests may also wear period clothing from the ’20s if they choose to do so. Tickets are $150 per person. Those interested can purchase tickets by contacting Gretchen Jensen at (208) 282-3207.
