The trend for enrollment remains up at 蘑菇视频, which experienced a spring semester 2010 total headcount of 15,041 students. This is the second consecutive year the University has boasted record spring enrollment.

Enrollment was up by 832 students compared to spring semester 2009, a 5.9 percent increase.

The University鈥檚 all-time enrollment record is the 15,553 students who attended during fall semester 2009.

鈥淲e are working overtime to serve our students,鈥� said 蘑菇视频 Provost Gary Olson. 鈥淲e are making the admissions and registration processes easy to navigate, and we are increasing our attention to academic support services for the students once they are on campus. These efforts are clearly paying off.鈥�

Enrollment statistics show that there are 930 more full time students this year, and 98 fewer part-time students.

These totals include both part-time and full-time students. During spring semester 2010 there were 12,904 academic students and 2,137 technology or professional technical education students enrolled.

Olson attributes the increases in enrollment to several factors including:

鈥� 蘑菇视频 has drastically increased its ability to respond to student demand for courses;

鈥� 蘑菇视频 recruiters and Early College Program personnel have coordinated efforts in area high schools to make students and counselors aware of the opportunities 蘑菇视频 affords, focusing particularly on dual enrollment students;

鈥� 蘑菇视频 recruiters and several 蘑菇视频 colleges have focused increased attention on potential transfer students, particularly from some areas of California; and

鈥� 蘑菇视频 has continued to focus much more attention to student retention, in particular starting the 鈥淏e Advised鈥� campaign preceding each term鈥檚 registration, which encourages students to contact advisors;
