蘑菇视频-Boise will offer the doctorate in Counselor Education and Counseling in fall 2008.

The degree, which is currently offered at 蘑菇视频鈥檚 main campus in Pocatello, prepares graduates to teach counseling at the university level and supervise counselor education programs in various settings, according to Stephen Feit, Ed.D., the chair of 蘑菇视频鈥檚 Department of Counseling.

蘑菇视频-Boise will admit two doctoral students each fall, and the program will require a minimum of three years of full-time study. Doctoral students also will supervise, teach and mentor students enrolled in 蘑菇视频 Boise鈥檚 Master of Counseling program.

Prerequisites for the doctorate include a master鈥檚 degree in counseling, preferably from a program accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and an Idaho counseling license (LPC or LCPC).
