Theatre/Dance Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ to present ‘MacBeth’ in Stephens Center Oct. 13–14

Shakespeare's 'MacBeth'Theatre/Dance Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ will present Shakespeare's "Macbeth" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13-14 and 19-21 in the Beverly B. Bistline Theatre, in the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

This is the first performance of the Theatre/Dance Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ 2006-07 season.

This is Shakespeare's dark and grim tragedy that examines the bleak and desolate nature of war. Macbeth contains some adult content and is for mature audiences.

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ production features original costumes, designed by resident costume designer Tara Marshall Johnson. The set and lighting design is by D. Brett Harwood, and technical direction by Chad Gross. This production is able to showcase the talents of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ theatre faculty as well as the students participating as actors and technicians, not only from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, but local area high school students and community members.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ alumni, $7 for children ages 6 to 12 and $5 for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students with valid Bengal cards. Tickets are available now at the Stephens Performing Arts Center Box Office, or by calling 282-3595.
